Spent 3 hours trying to fix a dollar store lamp shade

Bought this plain lampshade for $2.50 and thought id just wrap it in fabric. Four hot glue burns and a bent wire frame later, the thing still looks like a sad paper bag. Did anyone else struggle with dollar store lamp projects or am I just bad at this?

Did you use fabric glue instead, or just the hot glue?

3 hours on a 2 dollar fifty lamp shade - that is INSANE dedication right there. Most people wouldve chucked it after the first burn, but you really went for it. At this point just buy a cheap can of spray paint and call it a win.
