That dollar store caulk tube turned out to be the real deal
I bought a $2 tube of silicone caulk from Dollar Tree to fix a gap behind the bathroom sink, figured it'd be junk but it's held up fine through three months of showers... anyone else surprised by their random dollar store hardware finds?

Three months is barely a test run though, is it? I've seen caulk that held up fine for a year before it turned to crumbly dust, and by then you forgot where it even came from. That dollar tube might be fine for now, but you're making a pretty big call off a short sample size. I'd wait until you've been scraping it out of that gap with a putty knife before you crown it the champion of anything.
