Used a dollar store cookie sheet as a paint palette and it actually worked great
I grabbed one of those thin, cheap baking sheets for $1.25 and poured acrylic paint on it, and the paint beaded up instead of soaking in like on paper plates. Has anyone else repurposed dollar store kitchen stuff for art projects and found a weirdly good use?

Omg yes, I've totally done the same thing! I bought a bunch of those little aluminum loaf pans from the dollar store to mix paint in and they're perfect because the paint slides right off when it dries. I also grabbed a set of those cheap silicone spatulas for mixing and scraping paint, and honestly they work better than the fancy ones I got at the art store. The only thing is you gotta be careful with the super thin sheets because they bend easy if you lean on them too hard, but for a buck it's no big deal.
