Why does nobody warn you that dollar store suction cup hooks give out after a month?
I hung a little wire basket in my shower last month using a 3 pack of suction cup hooks from the Dollar Tree, mostly to hold my kid's bath toys and a loofah. Everything felt solid for about 5 weeks, then at 6:45 in the morning I heard a loud crack and the whole thing came off the tile and dumped water everywhere. The metal hook on one of them had bent open, so the suction never really stood a chance with any weight on it. I swapped in the Command ones I already had in a drawer and those have held fine for 3 weeks so far. My fix was just putting the toys in a plastic bin on the tub floor, which honestly works better anyway. Has anyone found a suction hook that survives a wet shower for longer than 2 months?
