An inspector in Boise made me question my whole dimensioning system
I've been drafting with the same layer naming since trade school, never thought twice about it. Last month an old inspector leaned over my shoulder and said my dims looked like a ransom note, too many styles fighting each other. He showed me a mark where arrows clashed with ticks over a 14 inch gap and I couldn't unsee it. Now I'm redoing my template and half my own drawings from the last 5 years. Has anyone else had a standard they held onto for too long based on nostalgia instead of logic?
