Just finished a set of plans that hit exactly 50 layers...

I was cleaning up a big commercial project file today and the layer count hit 50. It surprised me because I started with maybe 15 for the basic layout. Each new system, from plumbing to electrical to HVAC, just kept adding more... I had to make a whole new group just for the fire suppression notes. How do you guys organize your layers when a project gets that detailed? Do you use a specific naming system?

I read somewhere that a good rule of thumb is every layer should equal one trade's scope.

Hang on though, 50 layers is definitely a lot but fire suppression notes shouldn't be their own separate group. Usually those go right under the fire protection or sprinkler system group. Just feels like you're making extra work for yourself down the line when someone has to find them.
