My old supervisor swore by drafting on vellum. Told me digital was a waste of time.
I stuck with paper for 2 years after college because of him. Then a contractor sent back a mark-up in 15 minutes that would have taken me 3 days on vellum. Has anyone else had to unlearn old advice from a mentor?

Watched my buddy Mike spend a whole weekend digitizing a set of hand-drawn site plans because his old firm's partner swore anything on a computer was "cheating." First week at his new job, the PM asked for changes and he pulled out his pencils - got a weird look and a "just email me the CAD file, man." Threw the pencils in the trash that afternoon.

My buddy Jake had an old boss who insisted on printing every single email for filing. He kept that habit for months until his new company ran out of printer paper on day one. He took the hint and never looked back, what changed your mind about the vellum?
