Pro tip: I ditched paper plots for digital markups and never looked back
I used to print out every single set of drawings and mark them up with red pen. Been doing it for 15 years. Last month my buddy showed me how he uses Bluebeam for redlines on his iPad. Tried it on a small commercial job in Tulsa and it saved me like 3 hours of re-entering changes. I still think paper has its place for field checks but for office revisions digital is way faster. Anyone else switch and find it harder to go back?

My buddy in San Antonio tried it and said his red pen hand finally got a break.

Red pens and grading are a whole different beast for language teachers though. Nobody talks about how English teachers have to circle the same comma splices fifty times a day. Your buddy's probably stoked to not have carpal tunnel by spring break. But the real hidden upside is nobody realizes how much time you save not flipping through papers all night. Grading apps actually let you give feedback fast enough that kids might still care about it when they get it back. That's the part that makes it worth it to me.
