Pro tip: stop putting every dimension on one layer, a checker in Austin showed me why
I used to stack all my dims on a single layer because that is how the first firm I worked at did it, and I thought layer bloat was just something picky people complained about. Then two years ago I sent a set to a plan reviewer in Austin and he called me back to say he spent 40 minutes just turning layers off and on to read one wall section. That call bugged me enough that I split dims, text, and hatch onto separate layers the next week, and my redline turnaround got faster right away. Six years in and I still think the one layer crowd is making extra work for everyone downstream. Has anyone else had a reviewer or contractor push back on your layer setup, or is it just me?
