Shoutout to the old guy at the trade show who told me to stop fighting with my mouse
I thought his 'learn the keyboard shortcuts' advice was just hot air until I timed myself and saved 15 minutes on a single layout sheet. Anyone have a favorite shortcut that changed their daily grind?

Totally get that. The trick is mixing both. Use the mouse for the big, visual moves like dragging files. But for the steps in between, like opening the folder tree or renaming, that's where shortcuts save time. It's not about ditching the mouse, just not using it for every single click. My workflow got way faster when I stopped reaching for it to save or close tabs.

Yeah dragging is legit painful with just keys. I keep the mouse for that stuff.

Okay but that "stop fighting with your mouse" thing is a bit much. I get the point about shortcuts, but some stuff is just faster with a mouse. Trying to drag and drop a file across three folders with keyboard commands is a nightmare. Or fine-tuning a shape in a drawing. My hand is already on the mouse, why make it a whole production?
