That one Tuesday in Tulsa when everything went sideways with the blueprints
Three revisions from the engineer. Two from the architect. One from the GC. All before noon. Then the plotter jammed on the last set. Thought I'd lose my mind. But the old senior drafter just laughed and handed me a coffee. Said 'this is a good day, means they care enough to fix stuff now.' Never thought of it that way. Anyone else have a day that looked bad but was actually a win?

That senior drafter had a point that really stuck with me. The chaos means people are actually paying attention to the details, which is way better than them just rubber-stamping everything and hoping it works in the field. Getting revisions before concrete pours is a blessing compared to finding out the hard way when something doesn't fit (trust me, I've been there with a staircase that didn't match the floor plan). The plotter jam is just Murphy's Law reminding you that nothing goes perfectly, but at least it happened on a day when people actually cared about getting it right.

Ain't chaos just poor planning in disguise though?
