The drafting table at that coffee shop in Portland had me laughing

Stopped by a little cafe near Burnside last week and their drafting table was rigged up with a binder clip as the paper stop... it actually held better than my fancy one at home. Has anyone else found a weird fix on a job site that worked way better than it should have?

Duct taped a level to a ladder once and it worked better than the fancy magnetic one I bought.

My go-to is a zip tie on a tape measure hook when the little magnet falls off. Keeps it from slipping on metal studs way better than the original design ever did. Your mileage may vary but I've had one on mine for two years now and it just works.
