Tried quick draw layers in AutoCAD and it slowed me way down

I usually draft everything with standard linework and xrefs, but last Tuesday I thought I'd try the quick draw tool for a floor plan layout. Ended up with layers all jumbled together and had to spend an extra 45 minutes sorting them out before I could send the file to the structural guy. Guess I'll stick to my old manual layer setup, it's just faster for me. Anybody else have a drafting shortcut that backfired on them?

Autocad shortcuts aren't always shortcuts.

Do you mean the ones that don't actually save time or the ones that don't work as expected?
