Vent: my dimension text kept flipping upside down in AutoCAD and I finally got it sorted
Spent about 2 hours last Tuesday at my desk in Portland fighting with dimension text that kept showing up upside down every time I plotted a set of stair details. Turned out my text style was set to "match orientation" instead of the UCS in the dimstyle, so I went into DIMSTYLE, changed the text direction, and everything lined up right on the first re-plot. Has anyone else run into this on architectural sheets, and do you just leave that setting on or change it per project?

Ugh, my buddy Mark had the exact same mess last month on a church renovation set, text kept flipping every time he switched viewports. He ended up just leaving that setting locked to UCS for the whole project so he would not have to babysit it. Sounds like you got it handled faster than he did, poor guy was at it half a day.
