Wasted $150 on a laser level that couldn't handle sunlight
Bought one of those green beam self-leveling lasers from Amazon. Looked great in the garage. Took it to a job site near Phoenix last week. Couldn't see the line past 10 feet outdoors. Totally useless. Anyone else get burned by indoor-only specs?

Oh man, the "looked great in the garage" thing really hit home for me. I did the exact same thing with my green beam laser last summer, thought I was being smart buying it on sale. Took it out to a patio job in full sun and I swear I could barely see the dot on the wall from 15 feet away. I mean, the specs probably said indoor use only somewhere in the fine print, but who actually reads all that before clicking buy? It's just frustrating when you spend real money on something that only works in perfect conditions.
