Which drafting pencil do you prefer: a heavy metal one or a light plastic one?

I have been drafting for about 12 years now, and I keep going back and forth between two types of pencils. The heavy metal ones feel solid and give me better control when I am doing long straight lines, but they make my hand tired after a few hours of work. The light plastic ones are easy on the wrist but sometimes feel cheap and snap lead easier during big projects. Last month I switched to a plastic Pentel P205 after using a Rotring 600 for six months, and I noticed I could draft longer sessions without stopping. But then I had a thin line break on me three times during a detailed floor plan, which never happened with the Rotring. I am starting to think there is no perfect pencil, just trade-offs. What do you all use and why?

Swapped to a lighter one and never looked back. Wrist pain isn't worth it.

Ha, you're totally right! I switched to a lighter mouse and my wrist thanked me, but now my coffee grip is so weak I keep fumbling my mug. I'm basically a delicate flower who can't handle anything heavier than a pen. It's like I traded carpal tunnel for clumsiness, but at least I can scroll endlessly without wincing!
