Back in '08 I thought GPS dredge positioning was just a fancy toy.

We were working a big channel job on the Mississippi and the foreman insisted we set it up. After a week, we were hitting our cut lines within an inch every pass, saving hours of guesswork. Anyone still running old school with just the spuds and markers?

Tbh, sounds like a real "cutting edge" operation.

Four bad line snaps in five years with the same brand buoys and never once lost gear.

Heard about a guy who lost a whole day's work because his marker buoy line snapped?
