Hot take: the suction line at the Vermilion River job in Ohio is pulling way more mud than it should
I ran a 10 inch cutterhead on that stretch near the Route 2 bridge for 3 weeks and we were pulling up chunks of old clay pipe every single shift. Turns out a storm drain from the 60s collapsed upstream and nobody flagged it before we started digging, so we were basically chewing through someone else's mess the whole time. Has anyone else hit buried infrastructure like that and is there a way to check for it before you ever drop the ladder?
