Just realized my main suction line hose clamp was a cheap knockoff after it blew at 3 AM on the Willamette.
The clamp sheared, dumping a ton of material back into the cut, and I had to shut down for four hours to get a proper marine-grade replacement from a supplier in Portland.

Honestly, that's brutal. There's nothing quite like a 3 AM wakeup call to a problem you didn't even know you had. Four hours of cleanup is a nasty price to pay for trusting the wrong hardware.
