Picked a hydraulic cutter over a manual one for a job in Tacoma
Had to choose between renting a $220 hydraulic cutter or using the old manual cable cutters for a 4 inch line near the port, and I figured the hydraulics would save my arms. Took the rental, but the hose kept kinking on the barge and I lost a solid hour fighting it instead of cutting. Anyone else regret going with the powered option on a tight deck and wish they just muscled through with hand tools?
