Butt joints on ceilings, I had my trowel angle backwards for 2 years
I was at a job in Akron last month and the finisher next to me asked why I was feathering my butt joints the hard way. Turns out I had been running my 10 inch knife at the wrong angle since I started, pressing the edge instead of riding the mud. My second coat went on way faster once I flipped my grip and let the blade do the work. Anyone else figure out they were fighting their own tools like that?
