Cut into a ceiling on Tuesday and hit a copper pipe I swore wasn't there
My 2 inch screws went straight through a supply line in a Minneapolis basement and I got a face full of water at 7am, so now I'm out $340 for the plumber plus a half day of drying out, has anyone else had a screw find a pipe hiding behind the paper?
I used to roll my eyes at guys who scan every wall before drilling, figured they were just slow. Then I ate a face full of water at 6am in a Bloomington rambler and spent my whole morning with a wet vac instead of showing houses. Now the $60 stud finder with a live wire and pipe setting feels like the best money I ever spent.
