Finally got that weird corner in the old Denver house to lay flat after 6 hours of fighting it
The wall was out of square by over an inch and a half, so I had to cut and shim every single sheet. Anyone else have a go-to trick for a corner that's just plain wrong?

Honestly, cutting and shimming every sheet sounds like a huge waste of time. I would have just floated that whole wall with a thick coat of mud and called it a day. An inch and a half is nothing for a good taping job, you just build it out slowly. Why make the framing perfect when the finish work can fix it?

Right! Brookefox nailed it... mud fixes nothing down the road.

Robert's mud idea sounds like a fast fix until you try to hang a cabinet or a shelf there later. My uncle tried that once and his whole kitchen remodel went sideways when nothing would sit flush. Sometimes the long way is the only way that actually works, you know?
