Just finished a job in a big old house in Savannah and counted 87 sheets of 5/8 firecode
I knew it was a big place, but I was still surprised when I added up the takeoff sheet. It was the most I've ever hung on a single house job, mostly because of all the extra walls they put in for soundproofing between rooms. Anyone else ever run into a job that was way bigger than it looked from the outside?

That home theater addition sounds like a trap.

That number is absolutely wild. It reminds me of a place I worked on that looked like a normal ranch from the street. The entire back half was a giant addition with a home theater, so the wall count just exploded. My takeoff was a complete mess because I kept finding more rooms.

Wait, your takeoff was a mess because you kept finding more rooms? That sounds like a nightmare, @sarah_harris. I can't even imagine trying to figure that out.
