Old foreman told me to stop feathering so wide, he was right
Back in Denver last month, this 30 year veteran watched me run a 12 inch knife on a butt joint and said I was making twice the work for myself. He made me do the next one with a 10 inch and pull my mud tight at the edges instead of fading it out over 3 feet. Within 2 coats the finish was flatter and I sanded maybe 15 minutes instead of an hour, has anyone else been told to narrow their feather and fought it at first?
