PSA: Stop using mesh tape on inside corners... it's the wrong call
I keep seeing guys on job sites using mesh tape for inside corners because it's faster. But I've been doing this for 12 years and every time I come back to fix a crack, it's on a corner that used mesh. Paper tape bonds way better with compound and actually folds to hold the mud. Mesh might save you 5 minutes but you'll pay for it later. Anyone else notice this or am I the only one still rolling paper?

Three years back I walked into a brand-new build where every inside corner had mesh tape. The homeowner was bragging how fast the crew finished. Six months later I was cutting out half the corners because they were cracked from foundation settling. The paper tape I replaced them with is still solid today. Mesh is great for flat seams but corners need the flexibility paper gives you.
