Rant: the guy who trained me in Fresno told me to stop pre-filling butt joints and I fought him on it for a month
He kept saying pre-fill cracks out when the mud dries and you end up doing the joint twice, so last spring I finally switched to a tight coat first and my callbacks on that 40 unit apartment job off Cedar Ave went to zero. Anyone else's old timer push the opposite way on this?
