Serious question, why does everyone hate on the 4x8 sheets for ceilings?
Last month I did a 12x16 garage ceiling in St. Paul solo and used 4x8s instead of 10 footers. Everyone on the crew said I was nuts and it would be a seam nightmare. But with the right layout and a good lift, I had zero issues and saved a ton on material waste. Has anyone else actually tried it recently or is it just an old habit to always go bigger?

What's the big deal with seams if you plan your cuts right? Sounds like you just proved them wrong.

Totally agree, I just cut my pieces in order and it worked fine. What are you working on?
