Used to tape every joint by hand, now my arms don't hate me as much
For my first 3 years I mudded every inside corner with a 6 inch knife and paper tape, one joint at a time, and my wrists were shot by Friday every single time. About 8 months ago a guy on my crew in Tulsa handed me a banjo and I basically told him it was cheating. Now I run the banjo for the first coat, then hit it with the 10 inch, and I'm done with a bedroom in half the time. It took me a while to trust it because I was scared of bubbles, but if you thin the mud right it lays flat. Anyone here still taping inside corners by hand on purpose, or did you switch and never look back?
