Wasted $90 on a 'self-mixing' mud hopper that clogged solid

It jammed up after the first bucket on a Reno job, and I lost an hour cleaning it out. Anyone have a hopper they actually trust?

My cousin's old-school metal hopper from the 80s has outlived three of my fancy new ones. Some things just don't need an upgrade.

Is it just me or does it seem like every time we try to make something easier, we end up making it more complicated? I've noticed that with kitchen gadgets, tools, even phones - the simpler versions just work better and last longer. Sometimes the old way really is the best way, even if it takes a little more elbow grease.
