Changed my mind about frozen veggies after a coworker showed me her trick
I used to think frozen vegetables were always mushy and gross compared to fresh. Then my coworker Sarah at the office told me she roasts them straight from the bag at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. She brought in a tray of frozen broccoli last Thursday and it came out crispy and good. Has anyone else gotten frozen veggies to actually taste decent?

Wait didn't one of my buddies try that exact same trick? He told me he was skeptical too but his wife convinced him to do it with frozen corn and green beans. He said he spread them out on a baking sheet, drizzled some oil and garlic powder, then threw them in the oven hot. The beans came out with these nice brown edges and the corn got a little charred and sweet. He said it was way better than steaming or microwaving which always turned them to mush. I guess the high heat just crisps everything up instead of trapping steam. Makes me wonder why I've been avoiding frozen veggies for so long.

Did he thaw them first or just toss them in frozen?
