Fancy meal kit boxes were costing me $90 a week until I realized I was just paying for someone to put spices in a bag
Signed up for that green apron service back in March because I was tired of thinking up dinners after work, but after totaling up three months of charges I found out I could have made the same five recipes for under $40 with a trip to the local Aldi, has anyone else done the math on those subscription things?

Right? The spice bag thing kills me... I signed up for a different one and they sent me a little pouch with like a tablespoon of cumin and charged $12 for it. I did the math too and it was basically $70 a week for stuff I could grab at the store in twenty minutes. Felt like I was paying for the privilege of pretending I was a fancy chef while burning my fingers on their tiny stupid recipe cards.
