Meal prep vs fresh every night, my coworker made me see both sides
Ran into a guy at the break room last Tuesday who swore by Sunday meal prep, said he hasn't cooked on a weeknight in 3 years. I'm the opposite, I like coming home and throwing together something quick like stir fry in 15 minutes. He told me prep saves money but I argued fresh tastes better, so which side do you fall on for busy nights?

Three years without cooking seems less like a routine and more like a weird flex.

Honestly I get it because I went through a phase where my kitchen was basically just for storing my coffee maker and takeout menus. It's not about being lazy or showing off, it's about hitting that wall where the idea of chopping one more onion makes you want to cry. What finally got me back was buying one of those cheap meal kits for like three nights a week, not the fancy stuff, just simple recipes with pre-portioned stuff. That took away all the decision making which was the real killer for me. Now I cook maybe four nights out of seven and the other nights are leftovers or a frozen pizza and I'm totally fine with that. Three years is a long stretch but it's not a personality flaw, it's just a season.
