My coworker's 5 minute shrimp trick broke my whole dinner routine

Last Tuesday I was venting to Dana in the break room about how I never have energy to cook after our shift. She told me she keeps a bag of frozen shrimp and a jar of pre minced garlic at home, throws them in a hot pan with butter for like 5 minutes and calls it dinner. I tried it that night over some instant rice and I honestly felt dumb for overcomplicating every weeknight meal since I turned 30. Do you guys have a go to lazy protein that makes you feel like you actually cooked?

Build on that shrimp trick by making it a whole formula. Once you realize frozen seafood is your friend, you can do the same with those frozen salmon fillets, just pat them dry and hit them with some paprika and salt before they hit the butter. And don't sleep on canned beans either, drain a can of chickpeas, toss them in the same pan after the shrimp comes out, they soak up all that garlic butter goodness. That way you get your protein and your fiber in one go, no extra pots to wash. Basically you're one hot pan away from a decent dinner every single night.
