My sister insisted I needed a second sheet pan for my chicken and veggie bake.

She said it would stop everything from steaming and get a better crisp. I finally bought one last month and the difference is huge, everything gets way more browned. Anyone have other simple gear upgrades that made a big difference?

My old roommate swore by a microplane grater for garlic and ginger. I thought it was a waste until I tried it, now I can't go back to mincing. It turns into a paste that actually cooks into the food instead of leaving little chunks.

What's the best dish you've made since switching to the microplane? I tried it in a stir fry last week and the garlic just melted into the sauce, no more bitter burnt bits.

My sister bought a microplane three years ago and she's still using the same one. I tried hers once and yeah it made garlic paste but my knife does the same thing in like 10 more seconds. I dunno, feels like another gadget to clean for minimal gain.
