Old coworker's 10 minute pasta trick still saves my Tuesdays
A guy I used to work with in Chicago showed me how he boils pasta in a shallow pan with just enough water to cover it, then finishes it in the sauce pan with a splash of that starchy water. Saves me at least 15 minutes on nights when I get home late. Has anyone else tried cooking pasta this way, or am I just slow to catch on?

Ha! So you're telling me I've been standing over a giant pot of boiling water like a sucker for 20 minutes when I could've been done in 10? That's wild. I tried it last night with some penne and honestly, the sauce stuck way better. My only tip is don't skip the starchy water splash, that's the secret sauce literally.
