That $40 jarred garlic sauce ruined my pasta night
Grabbed a jar of pre-made alfredo on the way home Tuesday, dumped it over noodles, and the whole thing tasted like salty glue. My kids refused to eat it and I ordered pizza, so I lost $40 total including the wasted chicken. Anyone else just skip jarred sauces and do the 10-minute butter and parm version instead?

That "salty glue" is exactly the right way to put it, most of those jars are just thickened salt water with a fake cheese smell. The ten minute butter, garlic, and parm version isn't just cheaper, it actually tastes like something and you can control the salt. Once you make your own a few times, those jars start looking like a trap you just don't fall for anymore.
