Three years back I used to throw frozen pizza on the table twice a week for dinner

Last Tuesday I actually timed myself making a one-pot chicken and rice dish from scratch and it took 22 minutes, which is faster than waiting for delivery. My kids didn't even complain about the veggies I snuck in there, which blew my mind. Anybody else notice their weeknight cooking habits shifting over the last few years or is it just me?

Man I feel that frozen pizza confession in my bones. We were the same way, I swear we hit a point where every Tuesday was just "microwave burrito night" because we had zero energy left. But the one pot thing is real, I started doing ground turkey and rice with whatever random veggies are in the crisper and it honestly saves me from ordering takeout. My kids actually asked for seconds of broccoli last week and I nearly cried.

Oh man @murray.cole, the broccoli thing is a win you gotta savor. What's your move when the crisper is looking sad and all you got is like half a bell pepper and some limp carrots? I've definitely added a can of diced tomatoes to stretch things out but it gets old after a while.
