Why does nobody talk about the frozen veggie bag trap?

I bought a 3-pound bag of frozen stir-fry mix for $8, thinking it would be a quick base for dinners. The problem is you have to use the whole bag at once once it's open, so I ended up throwing half of it away after it got freezer burned. Has anyone found a good way to use up those giant frozen veggie bags without waste?

I just pour what I need into a bowl and zip the bag shut fast. The trick is getting all the air out before it goes back in the freezer. It keeps the rest from getting icy for a few weeks.

That method works okay, but honestly, those bags always seem to let some air back in. Found it better to just move the frozen stuff into a cheap plastic container with a tight lid. No more frost at all.
