Guy at the UPS counter in Dallas told me to stop guessing at my box sizes, and my damage claims dropped to zero
I was shipping about 40 orders a week out of my garage and losing maybe $200 a month to crushed boxes, so I finally drove to the UPS store on Mockingbird to ask what I was doing wrong. The guy behind the counter grabbed one of my packages, shook it, and said if the contents move at all then the box is too big and the void fill is doing nothing. Do you size your boxes to the product or just grab whatever is closest on the shelf?
