Question about switching to flat rate boxes after my UPS rep called me out
My UPS rep stopped by my office in Tucson last Tuesday and asked why I was still paying by weight on 200 plus small orders a month when most of my stuff fits in a flat rate box. I ran the numbers that night and realized I was eating about $2.40 extra per shipment on light items just out of habit. Has anyone here actually crunched this per order, or am I the only one who never bothered to check?
Man I did the same thing last year and felt like such a dummy when I saw the math. Once I moved my light stuff to flat rate my cost per order dropped almost three bucks and shipping got faster too. Have you checked if your heavier items still make sense on weight?
