Demo day surprise: found a stuffed sock in my wall cavity

Tearing out drywall in my 1950s bungalow near Whyte Ave and out pops this old sock stuffed with newspapers, looked like someone's 60s version of insulation lol. Replaced it with proper batt and now I'm wondering what else is hiding in these walls, anyone else find weird stuff during a gut?

Honestly that's a pretty classic 1950s move. I read somewhere that back then people would stuff anything into gaps to stop drafts, old clothes and newspapers were basically the cheap version of spray foam. Bet you're gonna find a few more surprises the deeper you go lol.
