Hot take: That expensive airless paint sprayer was a total waste for my kitchen cabinets

I spent $400 on a Graco sprayer last month thinking it would make my cabinet reno way faster. Ended up with drips everywhere and had to sand down three sections before I got a thin enough coat. My buddy loaned me his Purdy brush and I did the whole set in two afternoons with way less mess. Anyone else find that spraying cabinets in Edmonton humidity just doesn't work well?

$400 for a Graco sounds rough, I tried a cheap Wagner once and it was the same mess. Humidity is definitely the enemy with these things, the paint dries mid-air and lands all bumpy. Brushes and rollers are just more reliable for cabinets in my book.

My cousin tried spraying his deck with one of those in July, ended up with a finish that looked like orange peel. Had to repaint the whole thing with a roller while complaining the whole time. Something about those sprayers just fights back.
