Learned a trick from an old drywaller on a job in St. Albert last fall
He told me to sand my mud joints at an angle instead of straight on, and it cut my finishing time in half on a 2000 square foot basement, has anyone else tried this method?

My uncle tried that once and ended up sanding a perfect oval into the wall.

Oh man, I've been there! I tried to fix a small patch in my bathroom and somehow ended up with a wavy dip that looked like a satellite dish. Took me three extra coats of mud and a lot of swearing to get it sorta flat again.
