That 'cheap' laminate flooring from Facebook Marketplace cost me double in the end

I scored a pallet of laminate for $150 from some guy in St. Albert, thought I was saving big. Turns out it was water damaged from being stored in his damp garage and the planks started peeling after 2 weeks. Had to rip it all out and buy proper stuff from Flooring Canada on 50 St, total cost ended up around $900. Anyone else get burned by marketplace flooring deals?

Gotta disagree with you a bit on this one lol. Buying used flooring is always a gamble, but you can make it work if you check it out in person first before handing over the cash. The seller's garage being damp is a bummer, but that's on you for not inspecting the pallet closer, not on Facebook Marketplace itself imo.
