That moment you realize your basement floor is somehow 4 inches unlevel
I spent 3 days leveling a floor in my Edmonton bungalow before realizing the main beam had sunk about 4 inches on one side. Had to jack the whole house up an inch at a time with a bottle jack and cribbing. Anyone else find a surprise structural issue that added a week to their timeline?

Jacked my entire kitchen floor up two inches before I realized I forgot to turn the water main off. Cracked a pipe and flooded the crawlspace. Good times.

My 1960s bungalow in Edmonton had a 3 inch dip in the living room that turned out to be just the floor joists settling over time. Not saying yours isn't serious, but a lot of old houses have some sag and it's been that way for decades without causing problems. I'd probably check with a structural engineer before going full jack-up mode, your mileage may vary.
