Told the bathroom guy to use Schluter for the curb, he used redgard instead

I came home from work and found him painting that red waterproofing on the lumber curb like it was a shower pan. I said 'where's the foam curb?' and he just shrugged. Has anyone else had a contractor just do their own thing even after you showed them the product?

Buddy of mine told the plumber exactly how he wanted the shower valves set. Came back and they were an inch off from each other. Had to rip out tile and start over.

Honestly though if he's redgarding a lumber curb he might not even know what a curb is supposed to do structurally, that's a whole other problem.
