After a decade of rough-in work, I finally saw the value of a clean panel
A homeowner I wired a kitchen for six years ago called me back to add a circuit, and his panel was still perfectly neat. He said it made every other electrician's job easier, and I've been a stickler for organization ever since. Do you think clients notice or care about panel neatness after the drywall goes up?

Honestly, I never thought it mattered much until my own panel needed work. Seeing a messy one totally changed my mind, it's such a pain to deal with. Do you find most electricians take that kind of pride in it?

My last electrician said about 30% of his calls are fixing other people's messy panels. Does that kind of rework actually cost the homeowner more money later on?

Maybe it's just me but a clean panel feels like polishing the bottom of your shoes, nobody sees it after.
