Everyone says to always use a torque wrench on panel lugs, but I had a week where my calibrated screwdriver saved three jobs

Ever have one of those weeks where the right tool is just the one that fits in your pocket? My torque wrench is great until I'm in a tight spot, then my trusty screwdriver gets the call! I feel like a rule breaker, but sometimes you just gotta get the job done. It's not the perfect way, but it saved my skin more than once. I guess the real skill is knowing when you can get away with it!

Been there with using pliers as a hammer more times than I can count. Just gotta make sure you're hitting something that'll give before your pliers do.

Man, @spencerm52, you are so right. How many times have I used the handle of my pliers to tap something loose because my hammer was way across the garage? It feels wrong but it works. I mean, the proper tool is always best, but sometimes you're just in a bind and you need to improvise. The real trick is knowing what you can force without breaking your stuff or your knuckles.
