Just realized I used to strip wire with my teeth like a total maniac
Back when I was a helper, I'd just bite the insulation off 12-gauge wire because I thought it was faster than grabbing my strippers. I did this for a solid year until I chipped a tooth on a cold morning in Denver. Now I keep a pair of Klein strippers in my left pocket every single time. Anyone else have a dumb habit they finally broke?

My uncle swore by the "smell test" for car batteries until he got a face full of acid vapor. He just sniffed and said "yep, that's a bad one" for decades.

That's a rough way to learn a lesson. Used to test 9-volt batteries by touching them to my tongue every single time, just a quick jolt to see if they were dead. Did it for years until I grabbed one that was, for some reason, connected to a capacitor bank. Felt like I got kicked in the face. Now I just use a meter like a normal person.
